The way a Gallery item appears is determined by the template that it uses.
This lets you use the same effects and styling for each item without having to redesign them every time.
You can edit the template as you wish and have it apply to all of the items using it, or detach an item from the template to edit it on its own.
You can also have more than one item template in a Gallery
